While longtime fans of Rush have always assumed that they would stop touring when Neil Peart decided to spend more time with his family, it could actually be the arthritis that Alex Lifeson has been suffering with that causes the Canadian rock gods to finally hang it up on the road.
Lifeson opened up to the website Classic Rock last week in an interview coinciding with the start of Rush’s current tour, that many fans feel could be their last.
Lifeson said that although he’s feeling the arthritis like never before, he is more worried about drummer Peart’s tendonitis. He did add that he thought they had another album in them and that he wasn’t seeing this tour as a farewell.
Now all you Rush fans can exhale.
