In a move to mark the 40th anniversary of the release of the epic Bohemian Rhapsody, Queen is releasing a Bohemian Rhapsody Lager.
The press release from the band describes the lager as a ‘golden hoppy’ beer. This isn’t the bands first use of booze to celebrate a milestone. A few months ago Killer Queen vodka hit the shelves to celebrate 40 year of that single.
According to NME.com , ‘the Queen crest that graces the Pilsner lager was designed by late singer Freddie Mercury while he was a student at Ealing Art College in London, where he earned a diploma in art and graphic design.
It has been brewed in the Czech Republic. It was was born out of Plzen in the western half of the country and was previously part of the of Bohemian Kingdom back in the 1840s where it became known as Bohemian Pilsner.’
We’re holding out for the We Will Rock You tequila that’s sure to come in a couple of years.
