Over the weekend, reports emerged that Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne had split after 33 years of marriage, and that the former X Factor judge and The Talk host had kicked the Black Sabbath singer out of their family home.
On Tuesday’s episode of The Talk, Sharon confirmed the split, saying: “[Ozzy and I] are talking, I spoke to him last night. I’m not with him, but I speak with him.”
She added, “He’s given me an unbelievable life and he’s given me three gorgeous children and I love him. I’m just trying to take it all in, take it all in and process it… I’ve been avoiding looking at any pictures or reading anything. I know what’s gone on, and I don’t need to read about it, it’s like putting salt in a wound and I don’t need to.”
Asked whether the separation was permanent, Sharon said, “I honestly don’t know. At this point I cannot answer that, because I don’t know what I want. I’ve got to follow my heart, and I don’t even know what my heart is telling me right now. I’m just trying to take it all in, process it and do it calmly and in a timely fashion.”
Sharon and Ozzy married in 1982.
