The Material Girl singer sang some of her biggest hits, including Vogue and Papa Don’t Preach, while Late Late Show host Corden tried to keep them safe on the road, with moments of striking a pose and twerking.
The most anticipated bit, which was touched upon in the promo teaser for the show, was when Madonna admitted to kissing the late Michael Jackson.
Corden got Madonna to “kiss and tell” about her time with Jackson.
“Baby, I’ve been around,” she said, admitting to making out with the King of Pop. “I haven’t had the chance to talk about it, no one ever asks me.”
She admitted she had to make the “first move” because he was a “little bit shy.” However, she added, “He was a willing accomplice. And I did get him to sort of loosen up with a glass of chardonnay.”
People on social media discussed the smooch between the two pop icons.

Surprised the MJ crazies haven't jumped on Madonna for her story on Carpool Karaoke. Despite it being **entirely** positive.

Madonna did not sit still while in the car.
During the Vogue singalong, she used the limited amount of space in the front seat for various poses; at one point, she placed her foot on the ceiling, extending her leg all the way. Corden’s response to the pose was “I feel so inadequate,” and he tried to strike a pose after putting the vehicle in park. (It didn’t work out very well.)

During B**** I’m Madonna, the singer turned around in the passenger seat and twerked for the camera. “That’s the first in-car twerk I’ve ever seen,” an impressed Corden exclaimed.
She also revealed that she’s Madonna on stage but Julie Andrews at home, adding that she wanted to be a nun when she was young, but has been excommunicated by the Vatican three times.
That story led into the singalong for Papa Don’t Preach. Near the 5:20 mark, while discussing the nuns and The Vatican, Madonna subtly switches into a British accent, which she has done before.
