The divorce between Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie is the focal point of a new investigative documentary from Canadian journalist Ian Halperin.
Halperin, 52, will reportedly expose intimate details behind the high-profile divorce. One shocking claim suggests the Mr. and Mrs. Smith co-stars were estranged for over a year before their public split in September 2016. A source tells The Sun, “This is the definitive film about Brangelina and a lot of secrets are going to come out.”
Pitt, 53, and Jolie, 41, are still working out the terms of their divorce. They released a joint statement earlier this month, agreeing to keep the increasingly bitter divorce and custody battle private. “The parties and their counsel have signed agreements to preserve the privacy rights of their children and family by keeping all court documents confidential,” their reps told US Weekly.
Montreal-born Halperin is no stranger to behind-the-scenes Hollywood stories. He has written numerous celebrity-centric books, including #1 New York Times best-seller Unmasked: The Final Years of Michael Jackson, Celine Dion: Behind the Fairytale, and Hollywood Undercover.
This isn’t his first documentary either. Halperin directed and produced a piece on Michael Jackson in 2010 called Gone Too Soon.
