With Super Bowl LI right around the corner, Jimmy Kimmel delivered his second annual NFL edition of “Mean Tweets”, featuring an array of NFL stars reading fans’ horrible social media comments about them.
This year’s participants include Russell Wilson, Rob Gronkowski, Odell Beckham Jr., JJ Watt, Demarco Murray, Michael Irvin, Tony Romo, Kurt Warner Terrell Davis, Joey Bosa and more.
The men take more hits on Twitter than they do on the field, such as Seahawks QB Russell Wilson reciting this gem: “I’m tired of people saying Russell Wilson is too short to play quarterback,” he read. “He’s ugly, too.”
Other mean tweets include this one read by Houston’s JJ Watt, who “kinda looks like a fat @macklemore hahaha,” and Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski reading: “Rob Gronkowski is one of the dumbest people in the world. I have no problem tweeting this because he probably can’t read it.”
The Super Bowl airs Sunday, Feb. 5.
