For the 20th anniversary of the death of Notorious B.I.G., Diddy has some big plans to celebrate.
Diddy has launched a social media campaign to honour the influential rapper. The 47-year-old hip-hop star has invited his followers to rap their favourite Biggie verses and post it on social media with the hashtag #WeMissYouBIG. Diddy says the clips will get chopped up and edited into “something special.”
Diddy shared a highlight reel featuring the best moments in Biggie’s career on Instagram, and describes him as the “greatest rapper” of them all.
Remy Ma, Fat Joe, Trey Songz, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, The Dream, Syd and many others are joining up with BET Networks to pay tribute to Biggie with a day-long celebration of the rap icon’s life.
Meanwhile Diddy posted a video of his own, describing what Notorious B.I.G. meant to him.
Biggie was shot and killed in a drive-by shooting in Los Angeles at the age of 24. Thursday, March 9, 2017, is the 20-year anniversary of his death.
