Ringo and his All-Starr Band are set to tour again this fall. Unfortunately for Canadians, the closest show for us is happening in New York City. Road trip, anyone?
The former Beatles drummer and his company of star-studded performers have announced roughly 20 dates, starting October 13 in Las Vegas, and ending in Newark a month after that.
Half of the shows will be running as part of a limited engagement at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas. Bandmates Todd Rundgren, Gregg Rolie, Steve Lukather, Richard Page, Warren Ham and Gregg Bissonnette have all became part of the lineup in 2012 and have been Ringo’s touring band ever since. “The dream is still unfolding,” Starr said in a press release announcing the new shows. “I love to play, and I love to play with this band. I can’t say that enough, and we’re on the road again.”
Ringo was recently in the studio with fellow ex-Beatle Paul McCartney to record a song for Starr’s next album. His last solo album, Postcards from Paradise, came out in 2015. I’m excited to hear what’s coming next!
