It’s no question social media loves Beyoncé. In fact, she’s broken a record by becoming the first and only person to command US$1 million per post on social media.
“This makes Beyoncé the highest valued influencer currently on social,” reads a press release from D’Marie analytics.
The D’Marie website says Beyoncé’s social media success is all thanks to its authenticity. Fans helped Beyoncé reach this honour because of her devoted followers known as the Beyhive, engagement, the constant views on her social pages and the conversations about the singer.
Beyoncé rarely posts on her social media, but when she does, it breaks the Internet like when she announced this past February that she and husband Jay Z are expecting twins.
“It’s divine to see an individual who rarely uses her social media to publish anything but authentic, non-branded content actually become the most valued individual on social media for advertisers. In fact, I believe it’s due to her limited release of exclusive, curated content which causes such a frenzy from her audience,” says D’Marie CEO Frank Spadafora.
The baby announcement post earned 6.4 million likes and 339,000 comments in less than eight hours, which broke the previous Instagram record held by Selena Gomez. Beyoncé’s pregnancy post currently has almost 11 million likes and more than 534,000 comments, and that’s just on Instagram. Her announcement set Twitter ablaze too, with over half a million tweets within the first 45 minutes.
The 35-year-old singer has been sharing moments throughout her pregnancy, helping her keep this top spot.
