There’s no doubt that Big Brother is always chalk full of drama but these past few weeks have, in my opinion, been like none other! Of course this kind of action makes for great TV but some people are wondering if this season has gone too far…
There has been name calling, deep digs and screaming matches this season that have been both entertaining and worrisome.
It’s no secret that the #BB19 Showmance “Jody”, which consists of Jessica and Cody, was potentially the most controversial Showmance in the history of Big Brother but through all odds they had managed to survive longer than lots of people thought they would.
The two were separated when Cody was first evicted from the House but thanks to a Battle Back, a Halting Hex and an Head of Household competition they were back together again.
Some people despise #Jody:
While others are on their side the whole way:
The back and forth name calling and rude gestures between #Jody and the rest of the house reached a peak last Thursday night! Jessica called Josh fat on multiple occasions and Josh had several outbursts of immaturity that included the banging of pots and pans in the faces of Cody and Jessica.
Despite all of the uproar, Jessica was evicted by a vote of 7-1 (ouch) last Thursday but not before she told the entire house just how she felt*. #Jody has been separated for now but will they continue outside of the house? We asked Jessica ourselves:
1. Did you and Cody make plans for life after the Big Brother house?
Yes we did. We have been superglued to each other’s sides for six weeks and we’ll probably continue that same lifestyle outside of the house. He likes to joke that he’s becoming codependent on me and I’m definitely not complaining. But he does live in Dallas, and I live in LA. So I think we’re just going to split the time because I do love Dallas.
2. Who do you think is going to go far in BB19?
We already know that the vet is going to go very very far unless someone grows a pair and takes him out. Kevin is playing a really great social game, he’s really intelligent and funny, and people trust him so I think he’ll do well. Christmas is a really good liar so I think that will take her far. I think Mark and Elena are kind of doomed unfortunately. Unfortunately, the people I care about, I don’t think they’ll last much longer because this house is run by followers and anyone who has a mind for themselves is just taken out immediately.
3. If you could restart the game would you have devised another strategy?
If I restarted the game I would still align myself with Cody. The reason that is, is because Cody and I think alike. Cody and I fought for our positions in the house the entire season. There are other people who have just floated by and I don’t support that kind of game play. I believe that if you want your spot in the house you have to earn it. So I would still work with Cody but I think that we would have aligned our games a lot sooner than we did. Because once Cody and I started to develop feelings for each other, we decided we were going to keep our game separate from our emotions. It sounded like a good idea but it hurt us in the long run because I think that if Cody had shared with me his idea of nominating Paul and Christmas, I would have been able to explain to him that he wouldn’t have had the numbers to evict them anyways.
4. Who do you think Cody will align himself with now that you’re gone?
Kevin and Jason have already extended an olive branch to Cody, but after hearing the 7-1 vote, Cody shook his head at me which means that he’s going to go at it alone. Whether or not he decides to stand by that I’m not entirely sure. I’d love to see Cody tear the house to pieces, I think that would be great to watch and they deserve some hell. I hope he does go at it alone and does get far because he’s totally capable of it. I think the house is really scared of him and I love that.
5. What are your reasons for disliking Alex so much?
My reasons for disliking Alex are both game and personal. When Cody and I first started spending time together in the house, a lot of people looked to me to control some of his actions and I was held responsible for some of the things that he did. And when people in our original alliance started seeing that Cody was straying and trying to bring Jason and Alex into our group, it started to hurt my relationship with other people. And then once the whole eruption happened, Alex never showed any kind of loyalty towards Cody even after he essentially saved Jason. Jason would have been the first one eliminated had Cody just listened to what he wanted. Alex showed no thanks, no gratitude, no loyalty, and the second Cody was on the block, she voted to evict him and campaigned against him. She was never loyal to someone who didn’t further her game. Because of her disloyalty, I had zero interest in the girl.
