Jeremy Lindholm, an actor who appeared in Twin Peaks: The Return, has been arrested for attempted second-degree murder in Spokane, Wash. after allegedly beating a female acquaintance with a baseball bat.
According to a statement from the Spokane Police Department, the police were called to a local business in the late afternoon on Wednesday. They discovered Lindholm, 41, trying to escape the scene with baseball bat in hand. He did not resist arrest.
Officers established that the case was domestic violence related, and are currently closely investigating the surveillance footage from inside the business.
The indoor camera captured an “extremely violent assault perpetrated by Lindholm,” as per the release, and police were satisfied that Lindholm was seeking to do serious harm to the victim, even potentially kill her. They arrested him on-site, and booked him into Spokane County Jail.
Aside from the second-degree murder charge, Lindholm was also charged with second-degree assault, assaulting the victim’s friend, and other unspecified charges.
The woman, who has not been named, was taken to a local hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries. Lindholm is being held on a $100,000 bond.
Lindholm appeared in one episode of the revived Twin Peaks as Mickey (specifically in Part 6), and has had multiple bit parts in short films. His talent agent, Anne Lillian Mitchell of MAM Talent Agency, gave a statement to People.
“MAM represents Jeremy Lindholm,” she said. “We have worked with him on bookings for television, film, and commercial projects. We are stunned at the news of his arrest. Our interaction with him has always been consistently professional. We will monitor the trial. Our thoughts are with all involved and their families.”
